Texans quarterback Matt Schaub is on a list, not for his moves on the field but for the money he makes, making those moves.
According to Sports Illustrated Magazine, Schaub is the highest-earning athlete in Houston and the 27th highest in American sports. Sports Illustrated’s annual list was released Wednesday.
With his $17.5 million signing bonus he received after renegotiating his contract in September, estimates put Schaub’s earnings at around $22.8 million during the 2012 season.
Other athletes making notable dollars, include former Texans defensive end Mario Williams who came in at No. 18, earning an estimated $25.2 million and Los Angeles Lakers center Dwight Howard who earned an approximate $21.9 million with his No. 31 spot.
Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. took the No. 1 spot for the second straight year.
