Men as well as women can enjoy the benefits of a facial. Facials are not only relaxing but are great for the skin and provide wellness as well as wonderful health benefits! Let’s explore some of them in his installment of “Health/Beauty Wellness Wednesday”!

1. Circulation- Parts of our bodies need circulation in order to be supple and healthy; such is true for our skin. Facial treatments help to improve and restore circulation to facial skin layers. As a result of circulation, there is an increase in the flow of oxygen-enriched blood to skin cells. When you have that great circulation, you then have that healthy glow to your skin as well as healthy skin!

2. Relaxation- Facials are relaxing and bring feelings of peace, tranquility and harmony. A facial turn a day that was stressful into one that ends on a great and wonderful note. Facials can include a variety of creams that are meant to hydrate, strengthen the skin and make it more supple. Many times facials are performed in a quiet and serene setting. The one performing the facial may light candles and play relaxing music to calm and relax facial patient.

3. Turning Back The Hands Of Time- So if you are increasing your circulation and having a great moment of peace, wouldn’t you say that you are preventing your skin and your body from aging? Indeed you are! Facial treatments stop the aging process in its tracks. My last facial was one that was an oxygen-rich one and also included a vitamin C rich cream. Needless to say, my skin was soft and supple.

There are endless kinds of facials that range from treatments for acne to wrinkles, hyper-pigmentation and scars on the face. So talk with a professional about what you are looking to achieve and know that with every rub and scrub you are giving your face and well being a true and wonderful lift!
