HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A SWAT standoff in Tomball ended peacefully in the overnight hours.

According to reports, a man barricaded himself inside an apartment unit at the Dartford Square Apartments on South Cherry near FM 2920 around 11 p.m. and threatened to kill himself. The man’s girlfriend called authorities.

Upon arrival, officers found the man confrontational and the man refused to come out and surrender. The man also warned officers that he was armed. It was then that authorities called for the assistance of SWAT team members.

Officials spent time in negotiation with the man and as a result, the man turned himself to police before 2:30 a.m. Sunday. There were no injuries reported.
