HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Officials have issued a statewide Amber Alert for two children who live in Kingsland, which is located about 200 miles southwest of Dallas.

Reports indicate that 15-year-old Misty Sloan and her sister, 13-year-old Savannah Stone, were taken by their uncle, Keith Mize. Misty Sloan is described as a female who stands approximately 4’10″ and weighs 95 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. There was no specific description of Savannah Stone at the time of this report, although what is believed to be a recent photograph of both girls has been released in an effort to locate them.

Mize, 33, is a male who is described as standing approximately 5’11 and around 180 pounds. He has hazel eyes, blonde hair and a tattoo  that reads “Misty and Savannah My Girls” on his chest.

Police believe that he and the two girls are traveling in a black 2001 Ford Explorer with Texas license plates BT2-2261. The sisters are believed to be in danger.

Anyone with information about these children is being asked to call Llano County Sheriff’s Office at 325-247-5767.

***UPDATE***

Officials stated late Thursday that the Amber Alert issued for two girls from Kingsland was cancelled. The duo was found safe. Authorities continued their search for 33-year-old Keith Taylor Mize, the girls’ uncle and a suspect in their disappearance.

There was no other information provided at the time of this report.
