HOUSTON (CBS Houston) The Boston Police stated that more suspects were in custody in connection with the bombings that took place at the Boston Marathon earlier this month; they also used their official Twitter account to convey the information:

The explosions at the Boston Marathon happened on the afternoon of April 15, 2013.

Two pressure cooker bombs exploded just before 3 p.m., EST, killing three people and injuring hundreds.

The bombs exploded about 13 seconds and over 200 yards apart, near the finish line on Boylston Street in Boston.

Earlier in the investigation, two suspects were identified later that day as brothers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

CBS Radio Houston will have additional information about the latest arrests as information becomes available.
