Toddler Kidnapped During Carjacking Reunited With Mother

HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A toddler who was kidnapped after his mother’s SUV was stolen from a gas station parking lot in southeast Houston Tuesday evening, has been found and is safe.
According to authorities, the vehicle was stolen from the mother around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Scott and Yellowstone. The woman who was driving a 1999 silver Jeep Cherokee, stepped out of the car to use an ATM and left her vehicle running with her infant son in the back of the SUV.
It was then that the vehicle was taken while her 21-month-old boy remained inside.
Police found the SUV near the intersection of Red Bud and Bower about two miles from the gas station. Both toddler and mother were reunited around 10 p.m.
No other information was released at the time of this report.
It appeared that the child was not harmed or injured.
