Rice Alum Vance McDonald Drafted By 49ers

HOUSTON (CBS Houston) – The San Franscisco 49ers drafted the tight end from Rice University Vance McDonald in the second-round of the NFL Draft.  San Francisco trades second-round picks with Green Bay to move up six spots to the 55th overall spot.  McDonald, 6-5 and 260 pounds, had career stats of 119 receptions with 12.6 yards/reception and 15 touchdowns.  San Francisco traded for 61st and 173rd overall picks.
