HOUSTON (CBS Houston) – Buffalo drafts the track star and wide receiver from the University of Texas with a third-round pick and 78th overall. Marquise Goodwin, a three-time NCAA outdoor long jump champion who finished tenth in the long jump at the 2012 London Olympics, is the second wide receiver selected by the Bills. The Bills also drafted USC wide receiver Robert Woods in the second round.
Goodwin, 5-9 and 180 pounds, finished his four-year career with the Longhorns with career stats of 120 receptions for 1,364 yards and seven touchdowns after totaling 26 catches for 340 yards and three TDs as a senior. Goodwin was the fastest man at the NFL Combine with a 40-yard dash time of 4.27 seconds. He finished second for all-time fasted 40-yard dash behind only the Titans’ Chris Johnson.
