Two Men Tied Up During Home Invasion

HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Reports indicate that two men were tied up during a home invasion that took place in west Houston Wednesday evening. The alleged suspects were posing as utility workers.

A woman phoned 911 stating that her grandson and his roommate were the victims of a home invasion. The suspects were two men who were posing as workers for Reliant Energy.

One of the victims stated that they were tied up inside of their apartment, located on South Parkview drive near Barker Cypresss, with zip ties. The suspects knocked on the victims’ door, with clipboards in tote and explaining that they were workers  for Reliant Energy.

The victims cracked the door open to see who was there and that is when the suspects rushed in, overpowering the two residents.

After ransacking the apartment unit, the suspects made off with electronics and other valuables.

Although there were no injuries reported, the two victims were reportedly shaken up by the alleged crime.

Houston police are reportedly investigating the incident.
