I often say that I work in the Toy Department. What we talk about for a living is mostly play-time type of stuff. Sure, we hit serious issues and hopefully offer significant, important thoughts and opinion, but by and large it’s all about the games people play.

The best part of my job is being able to have a forum to spread the word about true heroes and real life. That’s why, if you’re In the Loop, I encourage you to take part in the upcoming Impact A Hero festivities and fund-raising tribute. Here are the details:

  • Impact A Hero 5K Walk, Run and Wheel
    • Saturday, May 18 begins at 7:30 a.m., Reliant Stadium
    • Honorary Chairman:  Houston Texans Center Chris Myers and several of his coaches and players will participate in the event with our wounded heroes.
    • Impact A Hero anticipates more than 3,000 runners, including 50 wounded heroes and their families
    • Live music provided by The Attenuators
    • Cost per person: $25, Kids 1k (Age 10 and under): $12
  • Impact A Hero Hall of Fame Gala Dinner, Diamonds & Denim
