HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A card game and good time underneath an overpass in Downtown Houston, turned deadly after a man was hit with a brick and then died.
According to reports, Houston police are investigating an incident that took place underneath an overpass in the early morning hours of Tuesday.
Police were called out to Rusk near Bagby just after the midnight hour on Tuesday. According to officials, a group of homeless men was playing cards underneath a bridge when a fight broke out between two of the men. Although the pair separated, they returned to the location later and began fighting again.
The victim pushed the suspect and it was then that a brick was thrown, hitting and killing the victim. He was knocked to the ground due to the forceful blow and died.
Police combed the area looking for leads after the deadly attack. At the time of this report, there were no charges filed nor was there anyone in custody or being questioned.
