Authorities Search Apartment After Boston Marathon Bombings

HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Authorities including bomb experts searched an apartment in Revere, Massachusetts and removed items.

As officials continue their investigation, they remain mum about how the apartment search is related to the bombings that took place just before 3:00 p.m., EST Monday.

According to one law enforcement official, the search was not to suggest to others that police may have a suspect. At the time of this report, there was no suspect and no substantial theory on motive.  The search o the apartment home took place with consent, so officials did not need to obtain a warrant.

Additional reports state that the search of the home is connected to a young Saudi citizen who is visiting on a student visa and has been questioned.

Authorities also plan to comb through videos from surveillance cameras near the attack in Boston’s Copley Square.

President Barack Obama briefly addressed the country after the bombings and vowed to find the responsible party or parties for the bombings at the Boston Marathon.
