Texans To Re-Sign Tim Dobbins

The Texans will re-sign linebacker Tim Dobbins, according to a Tweet by his agent David Canter.

Congratulations to #TeamDEC client Tim Dobbins on agreeing to terms on a new one year contract with @HoustonTexans #bullsonparade

Dobbins, entering his eighth season in the NFL, was a fifth-round draft pick by the San Diego Chargers.  Dobbins played 29 games over two seasons with the Texans.  In 2012 Dobbins had 1 interception, 4 passes deflected, and 4 fumble recoveries when he stepped up for the injured Brian Cushing.  Dobbins made headlines when his big hit on Jay Cutler knocked the Bears quarterback out of the game, and also earned him a$30,000 fine.
