HOUSTON (CBS Houston) According to authorities with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, a man has been identified as the suspect in Tuesday’s stabbings at Lone Star College.
Twenty-one-year-old Dylan Andrew Quick has been charged in connection with the stabbings of more than a dozen individuals at Lone Star College. He also faces three counts of aggravated Assault.
“The instrument used by Quick to stab and cut the victims was a razor-type knife,” stated the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
Officials further stated that there were pieces of blade in at least one victim, broken blade pieces in the area where the cutting occurred and the handle to a razor-type knife was found in a backpack that Quick was carrying when he was apprehended. During Tuesday afternoon’s briefing of the events, Harris County Sheriff Adrian Garcia stated that the suspect in the stabbings was currently enrolled at the Lone Star College system.
“According to the statement the suspect voluntarily gave investigators, [Quick] has had fantasies of stabbing people to death since he was in elementary school. He also indicated that he has been planning this incident for some time,” added the HCSO. In all, 14 victims were injured in today’s incident.
