HOUSTON (CBS Houston) The body of a man was found Sunday near the side of a road in northwest Harris County and authorities are investigating.

Reports indicate that the body was found around 5 p.m. off FM 529 near Fry Road by a passing motorist. That motorist then flagged down authorities.

Officials with Harris County state that the victim was a Latino man in his 30s, who is believed to have been killed at the scene. The victim was shot multiple times in the upper torso.

As officials work to identify the victim, they are asking anyone with information to call HCSO or Crime Stoppers.
