2 Hospitalized After Truck Crashes Into Taco Stand
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Authorities say several people were injured after a pickup slammed into a taco stand in Austin.
Senior Officer Virginia Higginbotham says that the driver was arrested for intoxication assault after the crash in the early morning hours Monday. She says the driver left the scene but was later located by police.
Warren Hassinger, an Austin-Travis County EMS spokesman, says that two women were transported with the hospital. One woman had a broken leg and the other had a suspected fractured pelvis. He said neither injury was life-threatening.
He said a man in the taco stand with grease burns refused to be taken to the hospital, as did a woman who said she had foot pains.
