HOUSTON (CBS Houston) According to police, a 12-year-old girl was rushed to the hospital after being attacked by two dogs. Baytown police stated that the dogs that attacked the girl were both pit bull/Labrador mix.
The attack happened on St. Andrews Street in Baytown on Thursday around 5:00 p.m. when the girl went to visit a friend.
Investigators said the dogs were in the backyard and ran around and attacked her. The young girl reached in to make contact there at the front door. Then both a pit and lab mix, came around and one of the dogs began to attack her.
The girl who was bitten on her arm an her side, knew that the dogs resided at the home and are there and every time she comes over. Normally, the girl let’s the family know that she is present first and then the dogs’ owners place the dogs away from her. On Thursday, the girl did not do such.
An air ambulance flew the girl to Memorial Hermann in the Texas Medical Center. Charges were not filed at the time of this report.
