HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Two small children were home when their father allegedly killed their mother then himself. Reports indicate that the murder-suicide took place Monday morning at a home in Fort Bend County.

The shootings took place at a home located on Ferndale Meadows Dr. in the Woodlake Estates area of Cinco Ranch. The Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office dispatch received a call from a man who said he had killed his wife just before 8:00 a.m.

When deputies arrived, they discovered a man and woman both deceased. The couple had two children who are ages  one-year-old and four-years-old. They were found in the home unharmed.

Authorities in Fort Bend County continue their investigation in the case.
