HOUSTON (CBS Houston) – Last evening, Astros minor league infielder Brandon Wikoff was in a one-car accident while in Florida for Spring Training. Wikoff is hospitalized and is currently listed in stable condition.
“Our thoughts are with Brandon and his family and friends,” said Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow. “We’re hopeful for a speedy recovery.”
Wikoff, a third baseman for the Corpus Christi Hooks, was selected by the Astros in the fifth round of the 2009 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Illinois.
