HOUSTON (CBS Houston) The Humble Police Department and the FBI are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the man who robbed a Humble bank but left empty handed earlier Friday.

According to officials, the robbery took place just before 2:00 p.m. A man walked into the Chase Bank located at 10011 FM 1960 By-Pass Road West in Humble, inquiring about opening an account. He then handed the teller a note demanding money, but did not receive any, per his demand. There was no weapon seen and no injuries reported.

“The bank robber is described as a heavy-set Black male, approximately 200-300 pounds, 5’4” to 5’5” tall. He was wearing a blue baseball cap, long-sleeved shirt, blue jeans and white and black tennis shoes,” stated officials the FBI, Houston Division.

Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call officials or Crime Stoppers.

“Crime Stoppers is offering up to $5,000 for information leading to the charging and arrest of this robber. If you have information about this case, please call the Crime Stoppers tip line at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or the Humble Police Department at 281-319-9752,” added the FBI.
