HOUSTON (CBS Houston) An Alief ISD nurse’s aide is accused of having sex with a senior at Taylor High School.

Authorities say that the evidence against 38-year-old Maria Calvillo is substantial; Calvillo is a former school nurse’s aide accused of having sex with a male high school senior.

Calvillo is charged with improper relationship with a student; her bail was set at $10,000 after she went before a judge Monday evening.

An affidavit stated that Alief ISD Police said the 17-year-old student’s mother found sexually explicit Facebook and text messages between the high school senior and Calvillo back in October of last year.

Calvillo initially denied having sex with the male senior but then later admitted to having intercourse with the student on two separate occasions. Additional reports state that those two encounters took place in a storage closet in the nurse’s clinic, on school grounds.

The senior high school student admitted to the relationship and Calvillo was taken into custody.

Alief ISD released a statement Monday night stating: “Charges have been filed against a former Alief ISD employee following a district-initiated investigation into an inappropriate relationship with a student. Maria Calvillo, who was hired as a paraprofessional aide last March at Taylor High School, was placed on administrative leave immediately after the district first heard about the allegation and subsequently terminated on November 5, 2012 for violation of the district’s Code of Ethics. The district takes any allegation of this nature very seriously and has been cooperating fully with the Alief ISD Police Department and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office throughout the investigation.”
