OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma City police say a woman and her 11-year-old son have been arrested after the boy alleged raped his 6-year-old sister.

The Oklahoman reported Monday that the woman was arrested on a complaint of failing to report child abuse while the boy was arrested on a rape complaint. Both are in custody.

Police say the girl told a state Department of Human Services worker that the incident happened last week and that her mother told her not to tell anyone. Police say the allegation came to light when an older sister learned of the incident.

Police say the 6-year-old is now in protective custody.
