HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Houston police have released surveillance video in the investigation into the death of a female.

According to authorities, the female was found at 1300 Lorraine about 6:30 a.m. on Feb. 22. “The victim is identified as Angelica Garibay, 40, of Houston. Her cause of death is pending an autopsy by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences,” added Houston Police.

HPD Homicide Division authorities offered the following details:”Houston Fire Department firefighters responded to a grass fire in the 1900 block of Gano. When they arrived, they extinguished a fire in the back of a vacant washateria at the above address. After extinguishing the fire, HFD personnel found Ms. Garibay’s body beneath a piece of plywood. She was badly burned and pronounced dead at the scene.”
HPD has provided surveillance video of Ms. Garibay walking alone near the intersection of Chapman and Lorraine and then meeting up with an unknown male in the same area. Click here to view the video.
