HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Harris County Sheriff’s Investigators are seeking the public’s help in locating two aggravated robbery suspects after deputies responded to an “in progress” call at a residence.

Officials went to the 10100 block of Sweet Olive Way Wednesday morning at 3:30 am. The HCSO states that the caller reported two male suspects described as 17 to 21 years old both with thin builds and wearing all black clothing. The suspects were also armed with shotguns as they knocked on the door and confronted the male resident. It is not clear to officials of the complainant knew the suspects.

“The suspects fled the residence in a red 2006 Dodge Charger before deputies arrived. The vehicles and suspect’s description were broadcast on the radio. At 4:30 a.m. deputies and a Houston Police Unit spotted a vehicle matching the suspects at the Shell gas station at State Highway 249 at Smilingwood Lane,” added officials with the HCSO.

As the suspects fled while deputies attempted to stop them, they got away traveling north bound on state Highway 249; it was then that a short pursuit ensued. “The suspects attempted to exit Greens Road, struck the underpass and crashed,” added authorities with the HCSO.

The suspects then got out of the car and fled on foot. “Deputies set a perimeter and HCSO K9 units along with Houston Police K9 were deployed to assist in searching for suspects. The suspects were able to elude deputies and officers. The vehicle will be processed for evidence by the Harris County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit,” added HCSO.
