HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A teenager was fatally shot a southwest Houston apartment complex late Monday night, according to Houston Homicide Detectives.
The teen who was identified as Billy Wilson, was reportedly an only child. According to officials, Wilson was hanging out with friends at the Bennington Square Apartments on West Bellfort Avenue and Bob White Drive when police responded to a call of a home invasion at the apartment complex just after 10 p.m.
Once police arrived inside one of the units, they found Wilson shot to death. One of the people who lives in the apartment was also shot; he suffered non-life threatening injuries. That individual was brought in for questioning after being released from the hospital.
As authorities continue to investigate the case, Wilson’s mother has no idea why her son was targeted. According to Houston police, the apartment serves as one of two crime scenes. A block away from the apartment, police found several shell casings. No arrests had been made at the time of this report.
