HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A mother and her son were found fatally shot over the weekend.

According to the Houston Police Department, the pair was found shot at a home in the 7100 block of Bahia near Willview. The now-deceased woman lived at the home with her two children for nearly 40 years.

Additional reports indicate that a relative found them at around 8 a.m. dead with multiple gunshot wounds.

Police say that they have a person of interest in the case who reportedly lives at the home but has not been seen. Authorities are also looking for a vehicle missing from the home; it is described as a 2001 black Dodge Dakota with license plate BLS7589.

Officials have not recovered a weapon in the case and are additionally asking anyone with information in the case to call the Houston Police Department.
