HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A store owner was shot and killed after a robbery on Monday afternoon.
The incident happened at the a Boost Mobile store on Telephone near McHenry.
According to authorities, the store owner was shot and was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital where he later died.
Police stated that two masked black men robbed the store at gunpoint while two customers and three small children were inside of it. The robbers shot the owner of the store during the robbery then ran around the corner, got into a vehicle and then fled the scene of the crime.
As authorities investigate the crime, they do believe that the fatal shooting and robbery at the Boost Mobile store and the robbery at another cell phone store on Almeda Road that happened about 30 minutes earlier, are connected.
The suspects are described as two black men, with one being approximately 5 feet 11 inches and the other approximately 5 feet 7 to 9 inches tall with a thin build. They fled the store in what officials are calling a dark-colored four-door car with paper plates. Anyone with information is being asked to call local police or Crime Stoppers.
