HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A toddler died after leaving a Houston day care Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports, officials were called to the KidiZone day care center located on S. Dairy Ashford at about 2 p.m.

Authorities stated that after the child left the day care center, she was then transported to Texas Children’s Hospital, where she died a short time later.

The toddler’s name was not released at the time of this report.
