HOUSTON (CBS Houston) The lanes that were shut down as a result of an overturned cement truck were reopened just after the noon hour on Wednesday.
An overturned cement truck closed several lanes of the Southwest Freeway Wednesday morning. The accident happened just before 7 a.m.
According to reports, cement covered most of the freeway forcing crews to close traffic down in four lanes of the outbound lanes. Traffic congestion was prevalent for miles. It’s not clear to authorities why the truck overturned. An investigation is underway.
