HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Police are searching for a man who broke into a woman’s home and then reportedly fell asleep early Tuesday morning. The victim lives in a residence on Fulton Street in North Houston.

According to reports, the intruder not only fell asleep during the crime, but also helped himself to a light snack in the victim’s kitchen.

After the woman confronted the burglar, he ran out of the back door of the home. Additional reports indicate that he also attempted to break into another home around the corner. That particular homeowner heard him break in and confronted him in his garage with a gun pointed at him. The burglar pleaded with the second homeowner not to shoot him but rather show him where he could find a place to sleep.
According to residents in the area several break-ins have made residents more vigilant and guarded of their surroundings. It is believed that the suspect may be a homeless man. No description of the suspects was released at the time of this report.
