HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Officials with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office released a composite sketch of sexual assault suspect Tuesday.

According to HCSO authorities,a female was walking west on Spring Cypress at around 11 p.m. on February 5. “The suspect, described as a white male, 5’7 to 5’8, thin muscular build, wearing dark colored clothing, approached the victim from behind,” added HCSO officials.

The suspect then reportedly dragged the female into the adjacent field and sexually assaulted her. “The suspect then struck the victim with a blunt object several times in the head and fled in an unknown direction. The victim managed to walk to a business nearby and told witnesses to call 911,” stated authorities from the HCSO.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect in this crime. Anyone with information to share with authorities is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (84770).
