HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Perhaps in the world of Super Bowl XLVII champion Ray Lewis, life cannot get much better, unless your son signs on to play football at your alma mater.

Reports indicate that Ray Lewis, III, son of Baltimore Ravens player Ray Lewis has signed to play football with the Miami Hurricanes.

ESPN’s Sports Center captured a moment between father and son upon the heels of Lewis signing with Miami:

Perhaps the younger Lewis going to Miami is not a surprise. Speculation has swirled for some time about Lewis following in his father’s footsteps.

The elder Lewis played football at the University of Miami from 1993 to 1995 and was a member of the 1994 team that went to the Orange Bowl.

Ray Lewis who is now retired from the NFL capped his 17-year NFL career with a Super Bowl victory against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday in New Orleans.
