HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A police chase ended early Thursday morning with the driver of a vehicle crashing that vehicle into a home and dying as a result of the accident.

According to reports, the accident happened off the East Hardy Toll Road near Turner. A white pickup truck was leaving an area bar with its headlights off. An officer tried to pull the driver over.

The driver continued to drive, accelerated on the gas and then lost control of the vehicle, crashing into a home.

The driver of the car died in the crash. Authorities believe that he may have been intoxicated. He did not have identification on him thus, giving additional duty to police in their investigation as to identify him while investigating the case. The homeowner of the damaged home was not harmed.
