It’s hard to believe that I’m almost at triple digits.

When I started with The Quick Weight Loss Center I had a total weight loss goal of 160 lbs. That was 5 1/2 months ago.

I like to set smaller goals to shoot for so that I won’t get discouraged. My first goal was to lose 10 lbs. That goal was surpassed rather quickly. Meeting my first goal made me want to push ahead and shoot for 25 lbs. I knew that at 25 lbs my clothes would fit differently.

My next goal was 50 lbs. At 50 lbs my clothes no longer fit. I had to retire the 4x and start wearing 3x. I have to be honest I tend to find clothes that I like and wear them out. Josh use to tease me about always wearing the same Friday the 13th shirt. The truth is that it was one of the few shirts that I found comfortable. I can no longer wear the shirt and I kind of miss it.

I was now going to shoot for 60 lbs. I hadn’t weighed less than 300 lbs in almost 9 years. The day that I stepped on the scale and saw that I was 299 I almost cried.

My next goal was 75 lbs. I hit that goal around Christmas. I felt better than I had in years. My wife started buying me some 2x shirts. At this point I’m still kind of in between 3x and 2x. I’m feeling like a new man.

I’ve now lost 95 lbs with my eye on 100. There’s something about losing 100 lbs that doesn’t seem real. It seems like such a large amount of weight. I’ll be there in about a week. Setting smaller goals along the way really helped make the process seem less daunting.
