HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A former hand surgeon who had his practice in Houston is accused of assaulting a flight attendant on an international flight.

Court documents indicate that on January 2, Dr. Michael Brown, a passenger on a British Airways flight from London to Miami, entered the plane’s forward galley and demanded his meal and wine. Brown was asked to return to his seat and was then escorted by a flight attendant.

Another flight attendant then checked on Brown but he then grabbed her forearm, pulled her toward him and started making rude comments of a sexual nature, before releasing her.

The flight attendant Brown reportedly demanded his meal and wine from, brought back the dinner and beverage and she further stated to air marshals that Brown stood up, spilled his dinner and grabbed her around the neck with both hands.

Another flight attendant came to assist the one in Brown’s grasp and then Brown reportedly grabbed both of the flight attendants. Upon grabbing the flight attendants, he threatened to get naked on the plane. He also made additional rude comments of a sexual nature toward both of the attendants.

After the remaining flight crew was able to calm Brown down, he then reportedly slept for the remainder of the flight.

He was then arrested for interfering with a flight crew once the flight landed in Miami. He told officials that he did not recall the violent altercation and that his intent was to never touch any of the flight attendants using aggressive tactics.

Brown who has a previous run-in with the law, was found not guilty of beating his then-wife Rachel Brown back in 2011 after a trial.
