HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Houston police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run that took place Wednesday evening on the North Sam Houston Parkway West service road just before 7 p.m.

According to officials with HPD, 22-year-old pedestrian Daniel Estrada was pronounced dead at the scene.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division officials provided the following details of the crime: “The victim was standing in the lanes of traffic attempting to flag motorists down when he was struck by an unknown suspect. The suspect’s vehicle then continued west on the North Sam Houston Parkway service road. At this time, there is no description of the suspect or his vehicle. The investigation is continuing.”
