HOUSTON (CBS Houston) On Tuesday, a man was sentenced to life in prison for murdering his high school classmate. Twenty-one-year-old Hermilo Moralez who was found guilty of murder, had reportedly confessed to the killing his former classmate.

Eighteen-year-old Joshua Wilkerson was found dead in a field along FM 518 near FM 521 back in November of 2010. Wilkerson’s body was found with his hands and feet tied. The body was also partially burned.

The body of Wilkerson was found in a wooded area, thick with trees, bushes and other shrubbery. Moralez, who was 19 at the time of the crime, led officers to Wilkerson’s body.

Additional reports indicate that Moralez told officials that he beat Wilkerson unconscious with a piece of wood at his father’s home. Both of the men were classmates at the Pearland Independent School District’s PACE Center.
