HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Officials found a highly organized and sofisticated marijuana farm inside of a Sugar Land home.
According to officials, that sophisticated marijuana growing operation netted the arrests of two individuals. For several months, authorities with the Fort Bend County Narcotics Task Force were investigating a home located on Summer Bay Drive. They continued to monitor activity and gather evidence about the illegal drug operation.
On Friday, officials moved in, armed with a search warrant and found an indoor marijuana operation that was throughout five rooms of the homes.
About 206 marijuana plants were confiscated along with indoor growing lights, scales, fans, water pumps and other equipment used for the manufacturing, packaging and distribution of marijuana.
Forty-year-old Dong Tien Nguyen of Sugar Land, and Duyet Nguyen, 41, of Houston, were apprehended and booked into the Fort Bend County Jail on first degree felony charges of possession of marijuana.
Each of the men received bonds of $50,000.
