HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A Harris County teen who was the subject of an Amber Alert last week has been found safe. Her male companion has been arrested.

Harris County deputies issued the Amber Alert for the 14-year-old  girl who was last seen leaving her home with Jacob West, 33. Both have been missing since Tuesday afternoon.

According to reports, West was arrested in Fort Pierce, Florida, Monday morning by US Marshals, the FBI and local authorities. The teen was with him but was in the custody of authorities.

Although previously and publicly identified as the subject of an Amber Alert, CBS Radio Houston has learned that the teen is now an alleged victim of a sexual assault and her name will no longer be used.

The teen’s parents and grandmother pleaded for her safe return. Additional reports indicate that the teenaged girl was romantically involved with West,who was a trusted neighbor of the teen’s family. It was not clear as to when the teen  and West would be returned to Harris County.
