HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A former teacher was found with a teenager she is accused of sexually assaulting.
According to reports, Kathryn Murray a former middle school teacher, has been charged with harboring a runaway. Twenty-nine-year-old Murray was out on bond on a sexual assault of a child charge when the most recent charge was filed. Murray used to teach at Memorial Middle School and reportedly became sexually involved with a 15-year-old boy.
In February of last year, Murray was released from jail on bond and ordered not to have contact with the teen. On Saturday however, police went to the home where Murray had been staying after receiving a tip from a private investigator that the teen was staying with her.
The teen boy, now 16, left home without permission. The home in which Murray was harboring the teen was surrounded as the boy attempted to escape through a back door. He was caught and Murray was arrested. She is being held in the Harris County Jail with bond set at $100,000.
