HOUSTON (CBS Houston) On Monday, charges against the man first identified as the shooting suspect in the Lone Star shooting rampage were dropped. Twenty-two-year-old Carlton Berry had been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. On Monday, prosecutors stated that those charges had been dropped.
A second man, the accused gunman, Trey Foster is facing two counts of aggravated assault. Twenty-two-year-old Foster was arrested in the early morning hours of Friday at a friend’s house in Plano, Texas.
The shooting happened on January 22 at Lone Star College’s North Harris County campus. Berry was wounded in the attack and was arrested shortly after. The shooting rampage caused college officials to place the college on lock down.
