HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Two teens have been accused of trashing, burglarizing and vandalizing a World War II veteran’s home.
According to reports, after the veteran walked into his home upon seeing the destruction, he could not believe his eyes.
Walls, paintings, floors and personal belongings were tagged with graffiti. Two of the teenaged suspects were caught just down the street from the home they vandalized with red paint on their hands, spray can caps in their pockets and stuff stolen from the veteran’s home. One teen admitted to breaking into the house, but claims he didn’t vandalize it.
The juveniles, aged 13 and 16, reportedly targeted the veteran’s home at random. The victim reportedly build his Northwest Houston home and has lived in it for the past five decades.
The teens were taken into custody while the victim will contact his insurance company to see what is covered under his homeowner’s policy.
