Man Shot In Chest After Being Followed Home

HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A man was shot in his chest after being followed to the front door of his home, by a suspect, who tried to force his way in.

Reports indicate that the incident happened late Monday on S. Camden Parkway near Walters. The victim was then taken to the hospital after he was shot in the chest.

According to officials, the victim returned home and was followed to the front door. He managed to get the door shut, but the suspect then opened fire – shooting the victim through the door. Although he was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in critical condition, he is expected to make a full recovery.

The victim’s family, including his wife and teenage kids were at home, at the time of the shooting; no other injuries were reported.

After the shooting, the robbery suspect fled the scene in a blue or silver Chevrolet Impala. Authorities are asking anyone with information that can help them, to call the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
