HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A reward is being offered for a sex offender who escaped from his half way house over the weekend.
According to reports, 58-year-old John Michael Enard removed his ankle bracelet monitor early Saturday morning and fled from a Houston halfway house.
Enard, who is considered a sexually violent predator, should be considered armed and dangerous. His criminal history includes multiple sexual assaults. He has family located in Houston and Lafayette, Louisiana.
Authorities remind the public that tips about Enard can be made anonymously. There are four ways tips can be reported to police about Enard’s whereabouts:
1. Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477)
2. Submit a Facebook tip by clicking the “SUBMIT A TIP” link which is located under the “About” section.
3. Text the letters DPS—followed by your tip—to 274637 (CRIMES) from your mobile device or cell phone.
4. Submit a web tip through the DPS website by selecting the fugitive you have information about, and then clicking on the link under their picture.
Enard has been added to the “Texas 10 Most Wanted Sex Offender” list and a $3,000 cash reward is now offered for information leading to his capture, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
