HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Police arrested a suspect after a standoff at a Houston gas station. According to reports, the suspect entered a Texaco gas station and fired several shots whie inside of the station.

A witness called 911 and reported the shooting at the gas station which is located on Clinton Drive. Houston police and other authorities surrounded the gas station quickly and the man eventually surrendered.

Additional reports indicate that it appeared that the man was possibly under the influence of some controlled substance.

Police are investigating a shooting that took place at a Houston gas station Friday afternoon.

According to the Houston Police Department,  a shooting took place at a gas station located on Clinton Drive. A call came in to HPD just after 2 p.m. as the shooting was still in progress.

A witness called 911 telling authorities that someone entered the Texaco gas station and just began firing a gun. There were no reports of injuries at the time of this report.

Police continue to investigate the incident with a partial description of the suspect. He is described as a black male, who wore a black shirt and black pants at the time of the shooting. Anyone with information about the incident is being urged to call the Houston Police Department.
