HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A Katy High School student has been taken into custody, accused of having child pornography on his iPod. He is also accused of having fellow classmates on the device as well.

Seventeen-year-old Kyle Trent Boman has been charged with two counts of possession of child pornography.

According to court documents, two Morton Ranch High School assistant principals told a Katy ISD police officer that Boman’s iPod Touch was confiscated; on the device, they found sexually explicit images as well as images of some of Broman’s female classmates.

Court documents also indicated that well over 3,100 images of nude adults and children were on the iPod, including nude, pre-pubescent children in sexually explicit poses. Boman was arrested at his home Wednesday night without incident.

According to Katy ISD officials, a tip through the district’s Safety Net program on Tuesday was received that led to the confiscation of Broman’s iPod. Officials continue to investigate the case and found no evidence that any of the pictures were taken on campus.

Boman, a student in the 11th grade, is being held on a $20,000 bond.
