HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A toddler accidentally shot himself in Dayton on Tuesday. According to authorities, the two-year-old boy found his uncle’s 9-millemeter gun in a bedroom of a home located on Milo Street.
The toddler then reportedly brought the gun into the living room where the shooting took place. The incident which was reported around 7:30 p.m. left the little boy with a gunshot wound in his chest.
The toddler was then rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital and was listed in good condition. His name was not released at the time of this report.
Officials continue to investigate the case; no charges were filed.
