HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be wet days in Houston and surrounding areas as heavy rainfall moves in. Area meteorologists also indicate that a flash flood warning is also in effect for all of southeast Texas counties Tuesday and Wednesday.
Light rain fell in Houston on Tuesday during the morning commute, but heavy rain is expected to move into the area later. Rain chances will increase on Wednesday. Areas of heavy rain are expected to move through the Houston area accompanied by lightning and thunder.
Although one to two inches of rain are expected for the majority of the Houston area, some places could see up to seven inches, thus increasing the chances for flooding.
