Three Injured In Drive-By Shooting


HOUSTON (CBS Houston) Three individuals were injured after a drive-by shooting in the early morning hours of Thursday.

According to reports, authorities answered a call about a shooting around 1 a.m. at a house located on Fondren Village near Fondren Place. Upon arrival, police found a large crowd of people standing around the home.

Eyewitness accounts revealed that a party was taking place inside of the home when suddenly an individual driving a dark-colored BMW drove by and fired shots. A car window as broken as a result of the shooting.

One witness indicated that the shooter then got out of the BMW and began firing shots on foot. A man who was reportedly shot in his leg, was transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital in stable condition.

Additional reports indicate that two other individuals were also shot and transported to area hospitals.

Within their initial investigation, police do believe that the shooting is related to gang activity. Authorities continue to gather evidence as an investigation of the crime is ongoing.
