Robbery Suspect Shot By Store Clerk


HOUSTON (CBS Houston) A robbery suspect was shot by a store clerk after the suspect stormed inside a store and ordered all inside to get on the ground.

The crime happened at the King’s Food Store just after 3 p.m. on Friday.

According to authorities, the suspect entered the store when several customers were present and demanded money. Additional reports indicate that the clerk shot the suspect to protect herself as well as the customers inside of the store at the time of the robbery.

With the store having surveillance cameras and them recording the crime, police are reviewing captured footage as part of their investigation of the incident.

The suspect who was not identified at the time of this report, was transported to Ben Taub hospital. His condition was not known.
